Job Purpose:

The position is for a QC Chemist who is specialized in quality control as well as has an understanding of concrete. The objective of the role is to support overall business by ensuring quality checks including RM/ FG, process checks, quality audit of manufacturing plants for admixtures. The role may involve travel to manufacturing locations across India. The incumbent will also be responsible for conducting concrete trials at manufacturing locations and maintaining records of the same. The position will be responsible for independent communication with supply chain, marketing, and manufacturing location (Out Process Center - OPCs across India) and sharing manufacturer Test certificate (MTC) and on time dispatch. The position requires to coordinate with supply chain on day-to-day basis for RM testing, stock and update TF on any quality or technical issues etc.

Primary Responsibilities:

1) Testing of RM and FG as per protocol for construction products like concrete admixture, dry mix mortars and cement related or construction chemical products.

2) Good knowledge of concrete fresh and harden testing, mix designs.

3) Ensuring on time dispatch of FG along with MTC

4) Ensuring laboratory and product compliance as per applicable standards like ISO, ASTM, EN etc.

5) Troubleshooting in case of manufacturing/ processing issues

6) Attending & resolving issues in concrete mix design – Customer/ site complaint. Corrective and preventive actions by thoroughly analyzing the data and customer feedback to resolve customer complaints.

7) ISO 9001 documentation: Ensuring laboratory equipment calibration, maintain calibration file and predictive maintenance.

8) Implementation of QMS: Self-audit and documentation, cross audit, and implementation of actionable points.

9) Conducting regular quality audit at OPC and publish report.

10) Independent co-ordination with SC/ Mktg/ Sales & TF

11) Safety management system: Follow safety rules in the Lab and plant, conduct safety training, audit and implements findings. · Adherence to timelines · Timely submission of MTC · Number of customer complaints resolved.

12) Support environmental protection by limiting the generation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
