External Job Description
Job Purpose:
Responsible for owning and driving the ESSESS brand in AP Bath Division and Projects business across CP fittings and allied categories. The role will lead portfolio management, brand building, initiatives, and project-led requirements while working cross-functionally with sales, projects, retailing, and product development teams
Business Responsibility Areas:
• Category Management: Develop and execute go-to-market plans for ESSESS across CP fittings and allied categories, including pricing strategy, portfolio mix, range rationalization, and channel-wise deployment
• Portfolio and Lifecycle Management: Continuously review portfolio performance, phase out non-performing ranges, and ensure timely introduction of new ranges and SKUs in line with market needs
• Market and Consumer Insights: Conduct regular market visits and competitive benchmarking to identify gaps, emerging trends, and opportunities across retail and projects channels
• Product Development: Translate consumer and channel insights into design inputs, work closely with design, sourcing, and manufacturing teams, and close development inputs for new products and value-engineered project offerings
• Sales Enablement: Enable sales and projects teams through catalogs, one-pagers, FAB documents, Sankalp kits, training modules, and regular product and proposition training
• Initiatives and Market Activation: Conceptualize and execute focus-town initiatives, market stormings, and proposition-led programs to scale ESSESS presence in VFM counters and projects
• Brand and Communication: Build and strengthen the ESSESS brand through a unified brand architecture, proposition-led communication, packaging, in-store branding, and phased product launches
• Content Development: Own creation and upkeep of catalogs, MTO and projects content, spare catalogs, plumber and contractor pitch decks, testimonials, and web and app updates
• Projects: Act as the single point of contact for project requirements including MTO cases, PRF management, documentation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications:
• MBA/PGDM from Tier 1 B-school.
• Strong exposure to brand management, category management, or product marketing roles
• Understanding of retail and projects-driven businesses in building materials or fittings categories
Previous Experience:
• 2-3 Years of experience in marketing/category management/market development
• Prior experience in managing portfolios, product launches and cross-functional stakeholder management is preferred
