EXECUTIVE II - INFRA & OPS (ORACLE)

External Job Description

Candidates must have expertise in Oracle administration. Candidates should have understanding of at least 2 to 3 of any of the following would be preferred: 1. Operating systems-Unix, Linux, Windows 2. VMware ESXi/Virtualization 3. Microsoft SQL Server 4. Servers/Storage 5. Containers.

Managing and troubleshooting Oracle/ DB related Issue. Monitor and optimize DB performance. ▪ Assist in the routine maintenance of servers and applications in the company’s data center. This maintenance includes, but is not limited to the following core areas 1) Monitoring 2) Performance Optimization 3) Trouble shooting issues and 4) Regular Backups. ▪ Create New VMs and its related management activities ▪ Implement and manage containers and infra related to it.

Provide support to users (business users as well as other IT team members) on usage of the company’s systems. ▪ Participate in new technology evaluation and prototyping exercises. ▪ Assist in the installation and commissioning of new hardware and applications at any Asian Paints Location ▪ 100% uptime of IT infrastructure at Datacenter & other sites using upgrades & regular maintenance activity as needed ▪ Manage Resiliency for Productive Environments using Proper Backup System, Updates, Security(AV) & Disaster Recovery. ▪ Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) ▪ Broad technology areas would include administration of Operating Systems, Databases, Applications, Virtualization, Cloud, Replication technologies and Storage.
