Department: Safety

Qualifications: Diploma in Industrial safety recognized by State Board of Technical Education and Training or DGFASLI.

Previous Experience: 1-6 years of relevant experience.

Business Responibilities:

A. Training and Employee Engagement:

1. Conduct safety induction for new employees and contractors

2. Organize periodic safety training, mock drills, and toolbox talks

3. Attend safety meetings in the plant and closing safety points of such meetings.

4. Promote safety awareness through signage, literature, and campaigns

B. Safety Audits and Inspections

5. Participate in internal and external safety audits; ensure CAPA implementation

6. Perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA)

7. Monitor contractor safety performance and compliance

8. Inspect all safety equipment and maintain them in good manner

C. Safety and Fire & Emergency Preparedness

9. Ensure good health of safety guards, safety interlocks, hand tools and power tools in the plant

10. Ensure 100% compliance with work permit system and safe isolation procedure

11. Ensure compliance with fire risk assessments and emergency response plans.

12. Maintain fire safety systems (hydrants, extinguishers, alarms).

13. Train employees on emergency procedures and evacuation protocols.

D. Incident Reporting & Analysis

14. Report and investigate all incidents and near misses via internal portal

15. Maintain incident trend analysis and identify potential loss areas

16. Drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis and preventive actions

E. Workplace safety & Compliance

17. Ensure hygiene, 5S, and safety displays across the plant.

18. Risk assessment, HAZOP study, Factories Act 1948, FMEA, legal frameworks for safety

19. Monitor hazardous substances, noise, ventilation, and dust levels.

20. Conduct BBS program in plan to build and improve safety culture

21. Ensure BBS drives across the plant by creative way and engage employee and contractor workers towards safety culture improvement

22. Ensure 100% compliance with Work Permit and Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) systems

23. Maintain and inspect PPEs and safety equipment

F. Legal & Statutory Compliance

24. Ensure compliance with Factories Act, IMS, and other applicable regulations

25. Use platforms like Polestar and GRC for legal compliance tracking

G. Budget & Resource Management
