External Job Description
Job Purpose:
Support Asian Paints Global (APG) units in supply chain initiatives and ensure reporting of units’ performance data at a Central Level
Business Responsibility Areas:
1. Responsible for supply chain initiatives for one of the two regions in AP Global (the 11 units in APG are split into two regions namely Africa + GCC and South Asia + Fiji)
2. To ensure focus and in-depth involvement of Central Supply Chain in all supply chain related activities
3. To ensure RM and FG provisions are reviewed on fortnightly basis and action plans for reduction are given & followed up
4. To implement the PR-PO RM Purchase Checks and control purchase centrally to avoid provision generation. To get involved in the MRP planning and review of RMs
5. To support APG teams in debottlenecking capacity constraints to ensure daily production volumes are met & ensure material is delivered to the customers with achievement of Customer Service Levels (On time in Full) & Order Cycle Times promises
6. To support units with initiatives under Cost Excellence parameters like Factory Level Losses, Cost Per Ton, Freight cost, PONC, Working capital, Productivity
7. To help units with capability building so that units identify on their own, supply chain related improvements including cost
8. Ensure structure creation for timeliness in reporting from all the units
Key Performance Indicators:
- To enable AP global to achieve EBITDA and ROCE at AP Global level
- To enable Volume sale and Net Value sale for AP Global
- To deliver materials as per promised Customer Service Levels (1 Day) & Order Cycle Times (as per SLA)
- Meet defined Range Service Level (RSL) & Volume Service Level (VSL)
- To ensure the promises under Cost Excellence Breakthrough are met
Qualifications:
Graduate / Postgraduate
Desired - Post-Graduation in Management with major in Supply Chain Management from a premier business school/Graduation
Previous Experience:
Preferably 3+ years’ experience in Production / Planning
