Internal Job Description

Job Purpose

To support the development and improvement of paint and coating formulations by conducting laboratory experiments, analyzing performance data, and assisting in innovation projects. The role focuses on applying fundamental chemistry and material science principles to create products that meet quality, safety, and sustainability standards.

Primary Responsibilities

Business Responsibility Areas

Developing formulations for new products and product upgrades

Paint processing and testing

Alternate Raw material evaluation

Record keeping, logbook entry and quality record management

Attending customer complaints

Plant support

Literature search/summarizing literature outcome/drafting technical report/paper writing

Key Performance Indicators

(i) Repeatability of experiments

(ii) Closure orientation and record keeping

(iii) New ideas suggested and prototyping of ideas

(iv) Number of technical reports/articles

(v) Data analysis and summarizing

Role Requirements / Specifications
Master degree in Chemistry/Paints and coatings/Materials or Bachelor degree n the area of Coating/Paints with experience of at least 2 years.
Experience in water based paint formulation will be preferred
Formulation expertise & testing / Characterization
Team player and be coachable
