External Job Description

Overview:  
The role is a frontline sales position responsible for driving growth and penetration of Asian Paints Wood Coatings, ranging from melamine finishes to high‑end PU (Polyurethane) and specialty wood coatings, within the defined geography. The role focuses on contractor-led demand creation, site-level engagement, and solution-driven selling, by building strong relationships with contractors, applicators, furniture manufacturers, architects, and end consumers, while working closely with select dealers for execution support. 

 
Day-to-Day Responsibilities: 

1. Business Growth & Sales Delivery 
Develop monthly action plans to achieve assigned business objectives for the territory. 
Drive value and volume growth through contractor engagement and dealer coordination. 
Monitor performance of core and focus products (Melamine to PU, specialty coatings) and drive targeted initiatives for improvement. 
Track site potential and ensure consistent site engagement to maximize conversion. 

2. Market Development & Intelligence 
Expand sustainable sales potential by onboarding new contractor partners. 
Analyze territory-level data to identify gaps, opportunities, and drive corrective actions. 
Organize contractor meets, promotional programs, and product demonstrations. 
Share timely insights on competitor activities, market trends, and customer behavior for business planning. 

3. Contractor Management 
Manage contractor lifecycle from onboarding to engagement, activation, and loyalty benefits. 
Execute loyalty program elements including point updates, schemes, giveaways, and gift settlements. 
Facilitate contractor education on new products, application techniques, and best practices. 

4. Dealer Relationship Management 
Maintain productive relationships with key dealers and address operational issues promptly. 
Support dealers in resolving contractor and consumer queries or complaints. 
Ensure timely availability of material, promotional tools, and service support at the dealer point. 

5. Site Scanning & Potential Mapping 
Monitor site potential within the unit and track site index for effective primaries. 
Ensure accurate and timely site scanning and tracking in Salesforce. 

6. Complaint Resolution 
Investigate and resolve contractor and customer complaints within defined TAT. 
Coordinate with service teams to ensure superior customer experience.
